Ribbed Square Mesh
Ribbed Square Mesh
Ribbed Square Mesh supplied by InfraBuild Reinforcing is commonly used in reinforced concrete slabs such as pavements, flooring, precast panels, warehouse and industrial shed slabs, tilt-up slabs, driveways and patio slabs.
Ribbed Square Mesh is a Class L reinforcing mesh made from 500 MPa welded ribbed wires and complies with AS/NZS 4671 Steel reinforcing materials.
Note: Always consult with an engineer before choosing the mesh best suited for your application as using the wrong mesh size could potentially result in failure to your concrete structure.
Typical Uses
- Concrete pavements
- Flooring
- Precast concrete sections
- Driveways and patios
Features
- Multi-purpose square mesh
- L grade ribbed wires welded together with equal spacing in both directions to form square apertures.
Relevant Standards
- AS/NZS 4671 Steel for the reinforcement of concrete
- AS 3600 Concrete structures

How we're making an impact
Circular steel manufacturing
We recycle scrap steel and transform it into new steel products through a continuous circular process. Keeping materials in use reduces waste and supports resource efficiency.
Renewable energy transition
We're increasing the use of renewable electricity across our operations as part of our decarbonisation pathway. This helps reduce emissions associated with steel production.
Lower embodied carbon solutions
Innovations such as SENSE 600® help customers reduce material use while maintaining structural performance. Less steel can mean lower embodied carbon outcomes.
Local manufacturing
Manufacturing steel in Australia strengthens sovereign capability, reduces supply chain complexity and supports local jobs and communities.
1.4M tonnes
of scrap steel recycled annually
77%
fewer greenhouse gas emissions from electric arc furnace steelmaking compared with traditional blast furnace steelmaking*
Helping customers build smarter
Sustainability and productivity don't need to compete. Through higher-strength steel, engineering expertise and advanced manufacturing, we're helping customers reduce material use, improve construction efficiency and lower embodied carbon. It's a practical approach that delivers better outcomes for projects, communities and the built environment.
