What is Steel Sustainability Australia?
Steel Sustainability Australia (SSA) is a sustainability certification scheme run by the Australian Steel Institute and recognised within the Green Building Council of Australia's Green Star Buildings rating tool.
The scheme assesses environmental, social and governance performance across the steel value chain, from steel manufacturing through to downstream processing, fabrication and supply.
For customers, SSA provides a recognised framework for identifying steel manufacturers and suppliers that meet defined sustainability requirements.
