Cutting, Bending and Galvanizing
Providing reinforcing steel to a site that is fit for purpose can be more complex than it appears. All reinforcing steels need to meet various Australian Standards in terms of their mechanical properties and the tolerances they are cut and bent to. InfraBuild Reinforcing offers ACRS certification, which is your guarantee that what we supply to your project meets all relevant Australian Standards and is fit for purpose. This applies to galvanizing of any reinforcing materials as they are also subject to Australian Standards.
All rebar (reinforcing bar) cut and bent by InfraBuild Reinforcing is processed to the appropriate tolerances as per AS/NZS 4671 and/or AS 3600. All reinforcing mesh and reinforcing wire supplied by InfraBuild Reinforcing is manufactured to AS/NZS 4671.
Tolerances tighter than that specified in AS 3600 are possible and may incur additional charges. Contact us if you need to discuss this for any of your projects.
InfraBuild Reinforcing also partners with some of Australia’s most reputable galvanizers to ensure we can provide a high-quality service that meets AS/NZS 4534.

How we're making an impact
Circular steel manufacturing
We recycle scrap steel and transform it into new steel products through a continuous circular process. Keeping materials in use reduces waste and supports resource efficiency.
Renewable energy transition
We're increasing the use of renewable electricity across our operations as part of our decarbonisation pathway. This helps reduce emissions associated with steel production.
Lower embodied carbon solutions
Innovations such as SENSE 600® help customers reduce material use while maintaining structural performance. Less steel can mean lower embodied carbon outcomes.
Local manufacturing
Manufacturing steel in Australia strengthens sovereign capability, reduces supply chain complexity and supports local jobs and communities.
1.4M tonnes
of scrap steel recycled annually
77%
fewer greenhouse gas emissions from electric arc furnace steelmaking compared with traditional blast furnace steelmaking*
Helping customers build smarter
Sustainability and productivity don't need to compete. Through higher-strength steel, engineering expertise and advanced manufacturing, we're helping customers reduce material use, improve construction efficiency and lower embodied carbon. It's a practical approach that delivers better outcomes for projects, communities and the built environment.
